Toledo, Ohio, July 5, 2017 — Toledo’s Republican mayoral candidate Tom Waniewski is filing his petition signatures with the Lucas County Board of Elections on Thursday, July 6th at 4:00 pm.
Waniewski and members of his campaign team will be delivering the signatures a week ahead of the scheduled deadline of July 14th.
“I’ve enjoyed meeting people throughout Toledo and listening to their advice as we’ve collected these signatures. Since announcing our candidacy in April and opening our campaign headquarters last month, I’ve been overwhelmed with support for our campaign to rethink city government, rebuild our neighborhoods, and restore confidence in Toledo. It is humbling to know the people who signed our petitions are willing to put their stamp of approval on my run for Mayor of this great city,” the four-term city councilman said. “I am excited to get back to knocking on doors and hearing more about what we can do to make Toledo a great place to live, work and play.” Waniewski added.
